The Widows and Orphan Program
This is the primary purpose of Seeds of Living Hope.
In the Widows and Orphan Program we match a widow* in the church with about 3-5 orphans, (sometimes it is less and sometimes more depending on the amount of orphan and widows in the village) to make family units.
*Most of the time we match orphans with widow but sometimes we have used widowers or grandparents. The pastors also take in the orphans, they are responsible for finding them homes or taking care of them.

Then within these family units we work on helping the widow learn a trade and supply her with the trade. Sometimes it is seeds to plant and the knowledge they need to do it. We have also done sewing machines, chickens and/or cows. We want to start up a trade school on our Ministry Center land to provide more options for the widow and orphans that graduate but are not able to do college.
For the orphans we buy school supplies and clothing. Then when they graduate we help them with college or help teach them a trade.
We will be focusing on one village a month and work on identifying their needs and then we will use that month’s donations to help with those needs.
